The Valiant Pilothouse 40 has all
the fine points of the Valiant 40, with the addition of a pilothouse. Traditional
in appearance but modern in design, she's swift, comfortable and forgiving. A seagoing
cruising vessel that goes to windward, sails fast, and provides inside steering which
protects you and your crew from the elements. The accommodations rival those of much
larger yachts, incorporating two staterooms, large head with tub/shower, "U" shaped
galley, large salon with "L" shaped settee and lounge chairs with game table, an inside
helm, and generous storage with space for a washer/dryer and trash compactor.
The Pilothouse 40 steers nicely off the wind and has just enough weatherhelm
when close hauled to give her a very solid "feel." Stability is derived from her form,
rather than from an excessively high ballast/displacement figure, giving her a smooth
comfortable ride.
